I’ve realized some baby blanket with the perfect heart and I hope you like that I give you the pattern!

O = 1 yarn around needle

\ = k2tog

/ = slip one, 1 knit, pass the slip stitch over

* = slip one knitwise (sl1 kw), k2tog, pass slipped stitch over (psso)

+ = k2tog, pass reverse this st. on the left needle, pass over the next st. on this, pass the st. on the right needle

99 su 100 non basterà per il lavoro che hai in mente o peggio sarà troppa e rimarrà un gomitolo o due, quindi:

1 farai fatica a trovare qualcuno che lo venda

2 lo troverai su internet a prezzo pieno, un prezzo a cui non l’avresti mai comprato la prima volta

3 dovrai pagare le spese di spedizione

4 devi aspettare che arrivi lasciando il lavoro in attesa

5 spesso è di un “bagno” diverso da quello che avevi preso prima e molto spesso si vede la differenza di tonalità

6 tutto questo ti avrà fatto innervosire molto!

Quindi dove comprare?

In un negozio vicino a te, che puoi raggiungere spesso, di cui ti fidi, disponibile ecc

In un negozio online disponibile e gentile! Ad esempio Fiordilana ha un servizio di spedizione a 3€ proprio nel caso in cui ti manchi un solo gomitolo per finire il lavoro e non hanno storto il naso quando ho chiesto il numero di “bagno” del colore!!! Compro da anni da loro e non ho mai avuto un problema.

Oppure in un negozio qualsiasi ma una marca che sai di poter trovare ovunque (Zara, Lana Gatto, Drops Design, Adriafil o Katia)

Lo so che per molti il lavoro a maglia è “solo” un hobby, ma non per questo dobbiamo rischiare di avere una copertina di due colori o di dover lasciar perdere un progetto perché non ritroviamo la lana uguale, tantomeno sprecare denaro!

Ho scritto questo articolo perchè una signora molto simpatica ma poco competente mi ha venduto 4 gomitoli per realizzare un maglioncino e ce ne sono voluti 6/7, tra l’altro dicendomi di lavorare con i ferri 6 ma sul gomitolo era indicato il ferro 5. Mi raccomando fate attenzione e fate bene i calcoli prima di comprare.

I suggest this baby blanket for the beginners because it’s very simple to knit!

You can realize this in every colour (3 or 4 different colours) and you need 2 ball of each.

The stripes can be higher or lower, these are 14 rows.

This measure 50 x 50 cm, 20×20 inches, but you can choose the measure simply by stopping to increse and starting to decrease.

Necessary:

needle n. 4 mm / US 6

2 ball for each colour ( min. 6 ball) I used Drops Muskat in 3 different green

I suggest to read all the pattern before begin!

Let’s go!

cast on the needle 2 st. with the first colour.

Knit all the rows (garther st.) and increase after the penultimare st, like this:

Row 1 – knit 1, 1 yarn around the needle, knit 1 (3 st.)

Row 2 – knit 2, 1 yarn around the needle, knit 1 (4 st.)

Row 3 – knit 3, 1 yarn around the needle, knit 1 (5 st.)

Row 4 – knit 4, 1 yarn around the needle, knit 1 (6 st.)

Row 5 – knit 5, 1 yarn around the needle, knit 1 (7 st.)

Change the colour every 14 rows.

When one of the edge measures 50 cm (20 inches) knit 2 rows without increase and begin the decrease like this:

Row 1 – knit 1,  slip one, 1 knit, pass the slip stitch over, knit until the end of the row.

Row 2 – knit 1,  slip one, 1 knit, pass the slip stitch over, knit until the end of the row.

Continue until you have only 3 st. on the needle.

Cast off the st.

Finish!

I’ve used Drops Design Muskat, I love it, it’s simple to knit and to wash!

Cast on 17 stitches on the needle.

Knit 18 rows in garther st. (knit all rows)

NOW : knit 2, cast off 13 st, knit 2.

NOW: knit 2, cast on 13 st, knit 2.

Knit in garther st for 54 rows.

NOW (for the buttonhole) : knit 2, cast off 3, knit 7, cast off 3, knit 2.

NOW: knit 2, cast on 3, knit 7, cast on 3, knit 2.

Knit another 2 rows.

Cast off all the st.

Sew the buttons at the mug cover!

I know it’s very very simple!!!

Today I show you a new project, simple and for home decor!

It’s a pillow 50×50 cm ( 20×20 inches) realized with recycled cotton yarn.

Necessary:

8 balls of Drops Design Love you 5

needle n.5mm  US 8

cable needle

5 buttons

Let’s go!

Cast on 86 st. on he needle.

Row 1 – 2 purl (P), 10 knit (K), 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 2P

Row 2 – 2K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 2K

Row 3 and all odd rows repeat row 1

Row 4 and all even rows repeat row 2

Row 8 – 2K, cable 10 behind, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, cable 10 behind, 2K

Row 14 – 2K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, cable 10 behind, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 2K

Repeat Row 8 and row 14 every 16 rows, until 90 cm (36 inches).

(Row 24 =  Row 8, Row 30 = Row 14)

Now knit at seeds stitch and decrease 1 st. at the begin of every row, repeat 9 times.

Now we work the buttonhole:

knit 11, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 11.

The next row: knit 11, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 11.

Now work 4 rows (at seeds stich)

Sew up the 5 buttons.

Fold the pillow overlapping buttons and button holes and then sew.
