This is a knitted tie, the final result is 130 cm long, 51 inches. You can add or remove rows for having a longer or shorter tie.

Necessary:

a ball of cotton

needle n. 5 US 8

I used Drops Design Belle

Ready?

It’s all knitted at moss stitch.

Increase: knit 1 and purl 1 in the same stitch

Decrease : k2tog: knit 2 stitch together

Cast on 3 st. on the needle.

Row 1 – moss st.

Row 2 – increase, knit, increase (5 st.)

Row 3 – moss st.

Row 4 – knit, increase, knit, increase, knit (7 st.)

Now : knit at moss st. these 7 st. for 70 cm (27.5 inches)

Now:

Row 1 – knit 2, increase, knit, increase, knit 2 (9st.)

From row 2 to row 24 knit at moss st.

Row 25 – knit 3, increase, knit 2, increase, knit 2 (11 st.)

From row 26 to row 48 knit at moss st.

Row 49 – knit 4, increase, knit 2, increase, knit 3 (13 st.)

From row 50 to row 72 knit at moss st.

Row 73 – knit 5, increase, knit 2, increase, knit 4 (15 st.)

From row 74 to row 96 knit at moss st.

Row 97 – knit 6, increase, knit 2, increase, knit 5 (17 st.)

From row 98 to row 120 knit at moss st.

Row 121 – knit 7, increase, knit 2, increase, knit 6 (19 st.)

Row 122 – moss st.

Row 123 – moss st.

From row 124 decrease the second stitch in every row until you no longer have stitch on the needle.

Hi! Now we see a project for a baby hat, for the winter.

Necessary:

1 ball of wool (Big Merino Drops Design)

needle n. 5/ US 8

Cast on 60 stitches on the needle.

Knit for 37 rows.

Now:

row 1 – work the 60 stitches, cast on 30 new stitches

row 2 – cast off 30 stitches, work 60 stitches, cast on 30 new stitches.

row 3 – cast off all the stitches.

fold the hat ans sew the border.

Finish! It’s so simple!!

I have made 2 of these for my twins and we used them in the winter holidays!

They look cute and are warm and comfortable on the babies.
