Cotton pillow

Hi everyone!

Today I show you a new project, simple and for home decor!

It’s a pillow 50×50 cm ( 20×20 inches) realized with recycled cotton yarn.

5 buttons

 

Let’s go!

Cast on 86 st. on he needle.

Row 1 – 2 purl (P), 10 knit (K), 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 3P, 8K, 3P, 10K, 2P

Row 2 – 2K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 2K

Row 3 and all odd rows repeat row 1

Row 4 and all even rows repeat row 2

Row 8 – 2K, cable 10 behind, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, cable 10 behind, 2K

Row 14 – 2K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, cable 10 behind, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 3K, 8P, 3K, 10P, 2K

Repeat Row 8 and row 14 every 16 rows, until 90 cm (36 inches).WP_20160330_010

(Row 24 =  Row 8, Row 30 = Row 14)

Now knit at seeds stitch and decrease 1 st. at the begin of every row, repeat 9 times.

Now we work the buttonhole:

knit 11, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 10, cast off 3, knit 11.

The next row: knit 11, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 10, cast on 3, knit 11.

Now work 4 rows (at seeds stich)

Sew up the 5 buttons.

Fold the pillow overlapping buttons and button holes and then sew.

Finish!!!
